They are looking for a high-calibre individual to join their "mission control" team, acting as the critical link ensuring the stability and performance of their live, high-frequency trading environment.

Your Role: The Technical "Bridge"

This is not a traditional support or administrative operations role. You will be a hands-on technical specialist sitting at the very heart of the firm's trading floor.

Your core mission is to act as the central "bridge" between the Front Office (Traders and Quants), Core Technology (Developers/SREs), and the COO/Risk teams . You are the first responder and technical owner for all live trading-related issues, ensuring millisecond-level performance and absolute stability.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Live "Mission Control": Proactively monitor the health, performance, and latency of high-speed, automated trading systems (Equities & Futures).
• Rapid Incident Resolution: Act as the first line of defense. When an issue occurs, you will be the one to diagnose, troubleshoot, and either resolve it directly or escalate to the correct engineering team with precise technical detail.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary operational contact for traders, quants, compliance, and engineers. You must be able to "translate" complex technical problems into business impact (and vice-versa).
• Order & Limit Management: Manage the live order flow, monitor all trading limit utilisation, and action real-time limit or configuration changes in a controlled manner.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Identify operational bottlenecks and drive the creation of new tools. You will use your scripting skills (e.g., Python) to automate manual tasks, build better monitoring dashboards, and improve system resilience.
• Platform Expertise: Develop a deep technical and business-level understanding of the firm's entire trading platform, from FIX connectivity to algorithmic behaviour.

Your Present Skillset

• Essential Experience: Approximately 5+ years of experience in a technical, hands-on role within a live trading environment (e.g., Production Support, Trade Support, Trading Systems Engineer, or SRE) at a hedge fund, prop trading firm, or investment bank.
• The "Technical" Requirement: You must come from a technical background, not a purely administrative one. You are comfortable with system diagnostics, data analysis, and technical troubleshooting.
• Education: Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).
• Product Knowledge: Strong exposure to Equities and/or Futures is ideal. Multi-asset experience is a significant plus.

• Technical Foundations:

1. Strong understanding of electronic trading protocols (especially FIX ).
2. Experience in low-latency and high-throughput environments.
3. Scripting and automation skills are highly preferred (Python is a major advantage).
