Technology Derivative Associate (Crypto, Digital Asset)

Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic legal advice to clients for the technology and digital derivative products.
• Stay up-to-date for the governance requirements for digital assets and commodities, ensuring compliance with securities laws & policies.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients for their transactions on digital assets, cryptocurrency, and blockchain operations.
• Structure and negotiate commercial agreements, including those related to digital asset processing.
• Provide support to clients on technology regulations, risk & compliance matters and data privacy issues.
• Responsible for the legal aspects of financing, M&A, and joint ventures, with a focus on digital asset and commodities.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, and/or other major common law jurisdictions

• 1-6 years PQE in a reputable international law firm or a top local law firm; candidates with in-house experience from technology companies are highly preferred

• Strong background in corporate finance, M&A transactions, and complex commercial arrangements.

• Solid understanding of the digital asset & crypto industry and its regulatory environment.

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, presentable and with excellent drafting and communication.

• Good command in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).
