Trade Compliance Officer - Contract

The Company

Our client a MNC professional services organization, is seeking a Trade Compliance Officer to join and support their trade advisory projects team. This role is ideal for an early‑career professional who is keen to build hands‑on experience in trade compliance, regulatory analysis, and cross‑border transactions within a consulting environment.

The Role

• Support the team members in the delivery of multiple client projects, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
• Review commercial, financial, and documentation to assess compliance with applicable regulatory requirements under supervision
• Assist in preparing compliance presentations, memos, affidavits, manuals, and supporting documentation for clients and vendors
• Collect, organize, and validate supporting documents from trading companies and factories for compliance reviews
• Assist in mapping company ownership structures and related‑party relationships and documenting findings clearly
• Support arm's length pricing analysis, benchmarking exercises, and transaction risk assessments
• Maintain proper document management, version control, and archiving in line with internal policies
• Provide regular status updates to project leads and flag potential risks or issues in a timely manner

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in law, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
• 1-2 years of experience in trade compliance, customs advisory, regulatory consulting, finance & accounting or a related field
• Basic understanding of trade compliance frameworks and cross‑border transaction processes
• Strong attention to detail with good organization and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while following guidance from senior team members
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
