Job Description - Trading System Developer, VP

What You'll Do

Deliver cross‑cutting trading solutions supporting multiple businesses, including OTC, Market Making, Proprietary, and Systematic Trading.
Work independently on complex problems, demonstrating strong analytical skills and ownership from issue identification through to resolution.
Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to enhance team efficiency and business outcomes.
Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision‑making, and quality of output in day‑to‑day work.

What We're Looking For

Excellent core Java development skills.
Extensive experience with Java application performance and garbage collection optimisation.
Deep understanding of concurrency and multithreaded programming.
Proven experience building low‑latency pricing and trading systems.
Hands‑on knowledge of low‑latency messaging frameworks (e.g., Aeron, 29West).
Strong grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, multicast, routing, switching, congestion control) and experience with kernel bypass technologies (DPDK, Solarflare/OpenOnload, RDMA).
Solid familiarity with Linux internals, including scheduling, memory management, and performance tuning.

Bonus Points

eFX development experience in low‑latency, zero‑GC environments.
Knowledge of institutional protocols and encodings (FIX, SBE).
Experience designing fault‑tolerant, highly available distributed systems.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
