Treasurer (Property Developer)

Treasurer

Our client is a Hong Kong-based business with deep roots in property redevelopment and real estate investment across Mainland China. With landmark redevelopment projects in China, the group is looking for a Treasurer to head the expansion of the business.

Position Responsibilities

Treasury Management

• Oversee group-level cash flow, liquidity planning, and forecasting.
• Manage loan structures, repayment schedules, and capital allocation across multiple entities.
• Handle operational treasury functions including settlement, payments, and AP

Property Redevelopment Focus

• Support financing and investment activities for large-scale redevelopment projects in China
• Liaise with agents, buyers, sellers, and banks on property transactions.
• Provide financial insights to support project prioritization and execution.

Capital Markets & Risk Management

• Manage interest rate, FX exposure, and basic capital market instruments.
• Maintain strong banking relationships and negotiate financing terms.

Family Office Responsibilities

• Assist the Chairman and family members with investment matters, including portfolio monitoring and stock investments.
• Provide confidential and reliable support for family-related financial activities.
• Collaborate with senior finance professionals and consultants on group-level strategy.

Position Requirements

• CPA / CFA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant treasury management experience, ideally with exposure to family office operations.
• Strong background in real estate or property redevelopment in Mainland China.
• Solid understanding of banking instruments, capital markets, FX, and interest rate management.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to manage both strategic and operational tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work directly with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in Mandarin (essential) and English; Cantonese is an advantage.
