Treasury/ Portfolio Financing - Multi-strategy Hedge Fund

Background

Our client is a multi-strategy hedge fund with strong performance over years. It is looking for an additional member to join the Treasury function in Hong Kong. This role plays a key part in managing FICC financing, liquidity management, and funding strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• • Partner with Portfolio Managers in trading Asia markets, delivering timely and succinct insights on market dynamics, liquidity shifts, and funding conditions
  • Manage daily and term financing for FICC positions, ensuring effective collateral and funding utilization
  • Introduce new PMs to the firm’s portfolio finance, repo and balance-sheet capabilities
  • Monitor repo markets and financing terms to identify cost-effective opportunities and mitigate funding risks
  • Assist with liquidity planning, funding forecasts, and balance-sheet optimization
  • Build and maintain relationships with Treasury operations, trading desks, Technology to enhance tooling, and refine existing infrastructure.

Requirements

• • University Degree holder
  • Approx. 5-6 years of experience in Portfolio Financing, Repo trading, Securities lending from investment banks, hedge fund, or asset managers
  • Strong knowledge of FICC markets in Asia
  • Ability to draw meaning insights from market data, evaluates funding alternatives, and structures financing solutions effectively
  • Effective communicator to build relationships with PMs, traders, and the wider Treasury team in a fast-moving and lean environment
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
