Job Description - Vice President, Card & Unsecured Lending Onboarding, Consumer Banking Group Operations

Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

Drive superior credit card and unsecured lending services to customers that satisfy their changing financial needs
Oversee, monitor and control the entire operation process of Card & Unsecured Lending team
Lead, coach and develop the members to achieve the section's goals and to complete their responsibilities
Identify and develop potential staff for talent management, career development and succession planning
Drive people management and engagement within the team
Develop and transform operations process
Drive digital initiatives to streamline operation process
Participate in new product/business/system initiative development by assessing operations/ regulatory issues, evaluating computer system feasibility/enhancement needs and allocation of resources to meet the Bank's marketing and sales strategy
Support in ad-hoc project and assist to conduct UAT & LV on various systems enhancements so as to have better customer experience, increase productivity and control effectiveness in daily operations
Understand the bank policies on data protection, risk & security control and regulatory compliance to comply with requirements; and escalate problem / exception to supervisor or manager immediately
Review and minimize operational risk within the team
Timely escalate issue or incident to supervisor

Requirements

Degree holder in business administration, information system or related discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on credit card and unsecured lending operations
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of driving operational efficiency and process improvements
Good communication skills in English & Chinese
