Our client is an asset management firm dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity in Hong Kong and the China regions. They are currently seeking a dedicated fund operations and accounting professional to join their team and provide comprehensive support to their rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, valuation, and accounting for funds and the management company, including: cash management and settlement, liaising with custodians and brokers, and preparing return analyses and investment reports
• Maintain accounts and records for investment projects, providing support for valuations and any ad-hoc matters
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, annual reports, and tax filings for the funds and management company
• Handle fund investor matters, including subscriptions, redemptions, and data requests, as well as AML/KYC compliance
• Collaborate internally and externally to ensure compliance with tax, accounting, and financial regulations
• Contribute to the upgrade/implementation of procedures and systems, research/interpret new operational and regulatory requirements related to this position
• Perform ad-hoc tasks in professional & timely manner

Key Requirements:

• Degree holder with major in Accounting, Finance or relevant fields
• Qualified accountant with minimum 5 years working experience in fund management is preferred
• Solid in accounting including consolidation of accounts
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of VBA, databases, and/or programming is a plus
• Experience with Level 3 investments valuation/audit requirements and handling impairments is a plus
• Proactive, independent, and able to work under pressure
• A dedicated team player with good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and detail minded
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and positive attitude, with ability to solve problems
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate
