APA Bus Dev and Growth Enablement, International Parcel

Opportunity

Act as SME (subject matter expert) on all things First, Middle, and Final Mile for small parcel ecommerce delivery services. Work closely with global sales teams to identify, pursue, develop, and close End to End opportunities that will contribute APA domestic and international parcel volume to the Maersk logistics network. Work closely with product and product marketing teams to develop, deliver, and drive value positioning for markets served across several ecommerce segments (e.g. Key Clients, Retail, Lifestyle, FMCG, Partnerships, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the eCommerce solutions SME to support sales and business development efforts for First, Middle, and Final Mile ecommerce logistics solutions.
• Drive opportunity identification and creation for Maersk ecommerce logistics services in APA and abroad.
• Drive opportunity closure through solution, contract, and pricing negotiations in partnership with Sales, Account Management, and Business Development teams.
• Keep informed on area/regional/global eCommerce logistics projects and products in order to provide insights and support as necessary across APA supply chain management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive value of end-to-end solutions provided by Maersk (e.g. Factory to Couch)

Consulted About

All eCommerce Logistics (ECL) products and related activities as they pertain to Final Mile Small Parcel (up to 70 lbs) for B2B and B2C solutions including UE/UK domestic and international deliveries and returns.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Skills, & Business/Technical Knowledge

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL CERTIFICATION

• Advanced or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, or, 10+ years related work experience in same/similar field

EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of Supply Chain Management experience required (e.g. forward logistics, reverse logistics, Warehousing & Fulfilment, Digital Logistics Offerings, etc.).
• A strong execution minded individual with proven sales & business development, account management and commercial skills, good judgment and strong operational understanding including an understanding of systems.
• Understanding of supply chain fundamentals associated with global logistics . Excellent communication and problem solving skills . A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset
• Self-motivated, who can complete tasks without supervision
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to train, coach, evaluate and mentor . Strong and current knowledge of technology platforms, MS Office products, and ability to quickly adapt to new software
• OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Domestic/international travel is required for this role on an as- needed and approved basis to conduct client/prospect visits, facility/office visits, attend trade shows, etc. Travel requirements in any given month can range from 0% to 50%.
