Job Description - Supply Planner

Position Summary The Supply Planner is responsible for all supply related activities, including capacity reviews, on time deliveries, production-sourcing strategies etc.

The incumbent is required to understand the replenishment model and logic, working collaboratively with Finance, Sourcing and Inventory Management team to finalize the buy plan, manage the PO through lifecycle and optimize the supply chain in terms of both effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Review with Finance, Planners, and Sourcing team to understand the situation and requirements in terms of buy schedule, open to buy, supplier/factory capacity, MOQ and fabric status to optimize the buy plan.
  • Convert the buy plan and confirm the purchase order with correct delivery date, terms, and prices.
  • Track PO progress, responsible for full life cycle PO tracking to ensure accuracy of ex-factory dates and consequently correct supply signals. Proactively communicate date changes and any quality issues that potentially has a supply chain interruption.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams for necessary fabric booking and raw material ordering.
  • Collaborate with inventory management team in supporting and executing ship mode changes and re-route request.
  • Proactively tracking and manage the back order, increase the flexibility of the supply chain to mitigate the lost sales.
  • Review on any fulfillment discrepancy (date or quantity), reject or approve based on the latest inventory status.
  • Create planning metrics and scorecards.
  • Drive the key supply chain initiatives and strategy in terms of lead-time reduction, on time improvement, holiday strategy etc.
  • Review, understand and make recommendations to continuously improvement of current work processes.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Higher diploma or above in Supply Chain / Inventory Management or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience in supply planning and/or inventory management.
  • Prior work experience in retail/garment business in MNC/buying office an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Chinese.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Immediate available is highly preferred.
