Job Description - Assistant Catering Sales Manager

Royal Park Hotel offers 448 tastefully appointed guestrooms and suites of various sizes in different categories, where contemporary design meets seamless service to offer upscale comfort and go beyond the expectations of discerning business and leisure travelers. 

Located in the heart of Sha Tin, the hotel is adjacent to the MTR Sha Tin Station and surrounded by various modes of public transportation, allowing easy access with only 30 minutes from China by rail and 40 minutes from the Hong Kong International Airport.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain professional rapport with clients, partners and other departments to meet guests’ needs
  • Organize and direct all catering sales activities to achieve sales volume and profits targets
  • Prepare sales forecast, budget and analysis reports
  • Responds to incoming catering opportunities for the hotel
  • Oversee and follow through of projects, ensuring proper closure by finalizing accounts and post project reports and documentation
  • Proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities
  • Supervise the organisation of post-event calls and collection of feedback survey and follow up with customers to obtain event feedback and identify further business opportunities

Requirements:

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related disciplines
  • With minimum 3-5 years’ experience in event business development in hotel industry
  • Self-motivated, good communications skills
  • Target oriented, independent and able to work under pressure
  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Word, Excel & Chinese word processing
  • Knowledge of Opera system is an advantage
