Job summary

The successful candidate will join our Global Markets institutional sales teams engaged in FX and Interest Rate products. Successful candidate will work closely with senior salespeople to support the daily activities on marketing FX & Rates products for Global Asset Management, Hedge Funds, Banks, Central Banks and Insurance clients.

This Trainee should have already completed all graduation requirements andwill be ableto start working full-time by May 2024. Trainee contract is one year to begin with and renewable for up to two years in total.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with internal teams, provide information on the markets on how to capture market opportunities & hedge exposures (for e.g. develop products to reduce the impact of movements)

• Provide support to senior Sales in preparation of marketing materials, trade execution, and post-trade follow up

• Coordinate various tasks which are involved in transaction executive or facilitation of business (Middle Office, Operations, Legal, Compliance, credit support, valuation, client service).

• Get acquainted with global capital markets, financial instruments & various structures promoted by the Bank

• Learn how to utlilize specialized software to perform daily routines, including spreadsheet-based modelling.

• Support the team to prepare marketing materials and publications

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• Master/ Bachelor degree holders, with strong academic background in ccounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Science or Engineering with less than12 months' full time experience with less than 12 months' full-time experiences

Experience

• Prior experience in global financial markets FX& Rates products will be an advantage

• Self-motivated and detail minded with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility
• Responsible, self initiative, positive attitude, attentive to details & hardworking

Technical skills required

• Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills
• Strong communication and problem solving skills with ability to provide analysis and solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other PC applications

Languages

Fluent in both written and spoken English, knowledge of Mandarin or other foreign language is a plus
