Sales Manager - Oil & Gas industry (Open to candidates in other industries)

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sales Manager to join our gas company. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth. Your role will involve overseeing the sales process, building and maintaining customer relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets. This position offers an exciting opportunity with APAC exposure

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the achievement of sales targets and objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and acquiring new customers in the gas industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and finance, to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, providing insights for sales strategies.
  • Set sales targets and quotas for the sales team, monitoring performance and providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM software.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs), making data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to customers.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations, market dynamics, and technological advancements in the gas industry.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry associations, trade organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about competitors' activities and pricing strategies, making recommendations for differentiation and competitive advantage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations in all sales activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineer, engineer, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of the gas industry, including market trends, regulations, and customer demands.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and business development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools to manage and track sales activities.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and analyze financial reports and budgets.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving sales-related issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
