Our client is one of the leading trading/manufacturing companies, with a dynamic and globally recognized company based in Hong Kong with diverse business interests. We are helping their Finance team to hire an experienced Accountant to join their ranks, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage AR operations for Hong Kong and overseas entities
- Handle full set of accounts and monthly closing for trading companies
- Prepare Sales & Purchase reports and ARAP aging reports
- Perform bank reconciliations for various accounts
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliation
- Handle tax provision for Hong Kong and overseas entities
- Reconcile balance sheet items and prepare reporting packages
- Prepare management reports as required
- Assist with year-end statutory disclosures, audit, and tax filing
- Support in the preparation of annual budgets and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
- Assist in ERP improvement and data automation projects
- Support ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned
Key Performance Indicators:
- Efficient maintenance of AR operations, ARAP aging reports, and Sales & Purchases reports
- Timely month-end closing and schedule maintenance
- Support in providing management reports and analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of commodity and trading field is a must
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or ERP system is essential
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet banking
- Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and self-motivation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
