Job Description



About the role


We are seeking an Associate to join the Brookfield Hong Kong office. Brookfield is seeking a versatile and all-rounded junior sales to drive wealth management sales across Greater China, across both offshore market (HK) and onshore markets (China & Taiwan) and contribute to business priorities.


The role will represent across Brookfield's investment platform, including our private funds (close and open-ended), daily liquid public securities capabilities, and semi-liquid vehicles.


This role will focus on providing timely support to distributors for BOWS products, with a focus on offshore distributors but can also help with onshore business. The candidate will be a sales support who has the potential and interest to grow into a sales person.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide timely support to offshore distributors for BOWS products
  • Identify business opportunities, collect market intelligence, build new relationships with junior clients / prospects, collect competitor information
  • Assist product due diligence, put together product analysis, and thought leadership to assist client's product onboarding
  • Collaborate with functional teams and service providers to ensure clients' requests and questions get addressed timely and properly, e.g. with marketing, investment, legal, compliance, PMT, iCaptal, etc.
  • Help to manage visitor's meeting schedules, coordinate client meetings, roadshows, initiate sales activities
  • Assist the team to manage all aspects of the sales life cycle, manage salesforce, prepare meeting materials, etc.
About you
  • Client-facing experience with wealth management channels in a fast-working environment
  • Solid financial product knowledge, and experience in alternatives is a plus
  • Great attention to detail, responsible person with a strong work ethic
  • Be able to stretch into any area and take ownership of delegated tasks to support the team's goals
  • Interest in client-facing role with the potential to become sales, understand how to collaborate in a global firm
  • A multi-tasker that is able to prioritize and manage their time effectively
  • Team player, culture fit for Brookfield; Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Appropriate degree in business/accounting/ finance
  • At least 4-6 years experience in sales and client servicing roles for private wealth/intermediary sales channels in Hong Kong / China / Taiwan
  • Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English
  • Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Solid technical skill and product knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealings with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Able to adapt to fast-paced environment, organized and detailed-oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and delivery of presentations.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with respect to managing workload and new business origination
  • Interested in developing professional and technical skills
  • Team player, collaborative and experienced working in an international organization and willing to be flexible with hours as part of a global organization
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
