Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Manager to join their team in Hong Kong. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on social responsibility within the supply base. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of supplier code of conduct management systems, designing audit tools, conducting on-site inspections, and managing grievance channels. This role requires frequent travel to China and occasional overseas (Vietnam, Indonesia)travel.

What you'll do:

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in influencing social responsibility within our client's supply base. You will be entrusted with leading on-site inspections, auditing suppliers, identifying non-compliance issues, and providing technical advice for solution development. Your expertise will be crucial in reviewing audit reports, formulating corrective action plans, and monitoring supplier improvement plans. Additionally, you will manage grievance channels between factory employees while supporting internal vendor management programs.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive the development and implementation of supplier code of conduct (COC) management system.
• Support in designing, implementing, and managing audit tools and assessment mechanisms according to business needs.
• Conduct on-site inspections to audit suppliers, identify root causes of non-compliance, and provide technical advice to develop solutions.
• Review audit reports & corrective action plans, provide guidance to suppliers to formulate effective corrective and preventive action plans.
• Monitor the implementation of suppliers’ improvement plans and lead the team to verify the effectiveness of improvement actions.
• Develop and conduct training related to social compliance topics.
• Oversee the on boarding of new suppliers with respect to relevant requirements.
• Manage the grievance channel between factories’ employees, investigate and follow up suggestions or complaints.
• Support the management of internal vendor management program to drive continuous improvement.

What you bring:

• University graduate with minimum 6 years work experience running social responsibility management program.
• Good knowledge of social responsibility and international labour standards.
• Strong business ethics and high level of integrity.
• Ability to systematically identify and resolve complex problems with an analytic data-driven approach and creative thinking.
• Ability to work successfully in a business environment, balancing decisions and recommendations based on total business perspective.
