GR Director

OBJECTIVE:

• Drive local government relationship focusing on provincial and municipal govt of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, covering offices like Commerce Dept., Foreign Affairs Dept., district govt., Administration of Market Supervision ete
• Provide operational support for Danaher Shanghai Headquarter and plants in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong, like visa application, award application, tax benefit etc.
• Monitor, track and analyze related above government policies and provide policy insights to help Danaher platforms/OpCos to form strategies
• Work with Danaher Platforms/OpCos to identify engagement opportunities to elevate Danaher's position in front of government bodies
• Initiate projects to work with gov't or affiliated research institutes/associations/think-tank organizations to build a sustainable development of the industry by shaping policies or upgrading standards
• Work with GA peers on other function and company priorities like CHIE and CEO visit etc.
• Develop monthly policy newsletters related LSC
• Other ad ho projects that assigned by line manager

ACCOUNTABILITIES/KPI:

• Establish and strengthen above mentioned gov't customer outreach
• Build Danaher's as a trusted partner for related ministries and get high level gov't support
• Develop key stakeholder mapping (gov't and affiliated organizations), related policy mapping and positions
• Initiate and manage cooperation programs/MoUs with close communication with Danaher internal stakeholder to maximize the business impact
• Other ad hoc projects that assigned by the line manager
• Be able to initiate, design, and implement projects, working with platform/OpCos

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Education background bachelor's degree or above in Life Science, Biopharma, Economics, Public Administration, Public Health, Trade, Foreign Affairs, Public: Relations preferred
• At least 8-10 years Public Affairs/Gov't Affairs related working experience with government, Fortune 500 MNC, famous Chambers/Association/NGOs in China
• Professional knowledge and skills: rich experience in government communication, excellent capabilities of communication, coordination and persuasion, fluent English writing and speaking, proficiency in computer skills (Office, Outlook, ete.)
• Good understanding of healthcare industry
• Score-added: successful experience in crisis management, investment affairs, and senior GR platform at central/regional level of Danaher business related
• Must be independent and flexible carrying out work activities and effective at building relationship both internally and externally, proactive, self-motivated, clear thinking, opening-minded, teamwork, customer focus, good at working in a matrix team
• Be able to work under pressure and travel frequently
• Willing to be take additional work and be proactive in looking for opportunities to support businesses
