IT Officer in the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) Office (Ref.: 519710)

Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) is a scheme and the main route of application designed to assist local students with HKDSE Examination results to apply for admission to the programmes offered by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions.

We are looking for an IT Officer performing the role of Analyst Programmer and Java Developer with highly dynamic, multi-task, proactive and energetic candidate who excels in application development, execution and quality assurance.

The Role

• Participate in system analysis, development, maintenance and implementation of JUPAS applications;
• Support UAT;
• Perform quality assurance on project deliverables;
• Prepare technical documentations and operational procedures;
• Work closely with the team to provide technical and programming support to the Office.

Qualifications and Qualities

• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline;
• Solid hands-on front-end and/or back-end development experience by using Java, Spring;
• A strong programming sense, problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Good communication skills in both Chinese and English;
• Mature and good team player;
• Fresh graduates will also be considered.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
