Lead Java Developer

My client, a leading blockchain firm with a strong presence in the APAC region, is seeking a talented Lead Java Developer to join their high-calibre engineering team.

Based at their technology headquarters in Hong Kong, you will be working alongside a tight-knit team of top talent from renowned financial firms and tech giants. As the Lead Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge derivative risk management system.

Your expertise in Java programming and deep understanding of risk management will be instrumental in driving our success,  particularly in areas such as risk modelling for derivative products (options, futures, perpetuals, etc.), portfolio risk, portfolio margining, margin products, experience in building systems from scratch, and low latency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of our derivative risk system using Java and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the system.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in risk management to continuously improve the system.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Java development, particularly in the financial sector and risk management systems.
• Proficient in object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of derivative products and risk modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
