ME STAND BY ME: A PILOT PROGRAM TO DRIVE MORE INCLUSIVE CAMPUSES IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Under this exciting new initiative Resolve seeks to deliver a pilot program with five pilot schools to make their campus community a place of inclusion and respect so every student feels they belong. The core components of this pilot program include 1) scoping and needs assessment with schools 2) training of educators 3) awareness talks with Form 4 students (15-16 year olds) 4) a student leadership academy program 5) a seed funding project by the school 6) an event to showcase the projects and bring the schools together for peer exchange 7) public reflection report. We aim to equip both educators (including teachers and administration staff) and Form 4 students over a three-year period to gain knowledge and confidence about how they can intervene when witnessing acts of exclusion and contribute as individuals and a collective to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging on campus.

 

PURPOSE

The purpose of the consultancy is to help Resolve set up the Monitoring & Evaluation framework and tools for this pilot progam and help us to assess and communicate the program’s impact at the end of the pilot . 

SCOPE and REQUIREMENTS

• Host a preliminary workshop with the service provider to develop a Theory of Change based on existing program logic model
• Run initial assessment at end of academic Year 1 of running program
• Run post-evaluation work with schools at end of Academic Year 2
• Exit meetings with the champions from Resolve
• Debriefing with supporting partner, advisors and Resolve team

 

DELIVERABLES

• Develop the M&E framework for the overall pilot program aligned to Resolve’s existing tools
• Train the project team on deploying the impact assessment tools
• Develop the impact assessment tools for Train the Trainer program
• Develop the impact assessment tools for the school intervention components
• Interim impact summary of assessment findings at end of academic year 1
• Internal impact report of overall project

 

TIMELINE

The consultant will be onboarded in April 2024 and the work is expected to begin in May 2024 and run until March 2027. The majority of the activities and deliverables are expected to take place in the planning and preparation stage (Q2-Q4 2024) and after the project implementation stage (Q3 2026-Q1 2027), with the exception of an initial assessment at the end of the first school year (Q2-Q3 2025). 

 

BUDGET

Consultation Fee inclusive of all travel and other incidental expenses: HK$150,000

Interested consultants are requested to submit a comprehensive proposal that includes a detailed plan (approach, methodology, timeline) and budget (itemized breakdown of the costs associated with the project, including fees, travel expenses, and any other relevant expenditures).
