Our client is a global professional services firm that has continued to expand over the years with organic growth and acquisitions into new markets. With an ability to strategically understand their client’s vision and goals, they provide a suite of different services that enable businesses to navigate the complexities of a changing business landscape. As part of their transformation plan to increase efficiency across their global platform, they are now looking for a high calibre Finance Director to join the team.

Reporting directly to the Group Finance in the UK, this role will have full accountability for the finance function for one of their key business units, and be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team located in multiple jurisdictions across the region
• Driving improvements, efficiency and consistency across all financial reporting, processes and controls
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long term strategic planning for the business, ensuring alignment with the group goals
• Work as a strategic business partner to truly help the business to meet performance metrics and interpret the numbers to make the right decisions
• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to the business, executive management team and different stakeholders
• Identify drivers and provide forward looking insights to enable corrective action or to capitalise on opportunities
• Support the analysis and evaluation of growth opportunities including new channels of revenue, investments or potential acquisitions
• Manage ad hoc projects, integration initiatives or other system upgrades or transformational projects as required

This is a key role within the region that will provide exposure to the group operations, and will offer an opportunity to really make a difference and drive changes in the finance function. Suitable candidates should have:

• A professional accounting qualification ACA/CPA degree and have trained with a Big 4 firm
• Have 12-15+ years’ experience ideally acquired in a business services environment
• Demonstrated success, proven progression and promotion within your past employers
• Technically sound financial accounting and reporting knowledge, with an ability to advise business on accounting for complex transactions
• Executive gravitas to present to the management team and different stakeholders
• Leadership skills to mentor and drive performance of a high functioning teams in different jurisdictions
• Ability to truly engage the business to understand their needs and be able to influence and facilitate corrective courses of action
• Experience of working across Asia Pacific and group functions, understanding the business landscape and cultural differences
• Agility and flexibility to work in a high pressured, dynamic and constantly growing working environment
