Sourcing Officer (Trims / Packaging)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic purchasing, cost control and material planning that will work side by side with factories and production team


• Perform bench marking, cost analysis and negotiate pricing with all factories and suppliers


• Identify and evaluate cost saving opportunities among existing sourcing and find new sourcing opportunities in different territories


• Communicate and work closely with counterparts across the Group - production, graphics, sales and marketing, customer service, logistics and quality control


• Continuously search for market knowledge and innovations by shows, exhibitions, seminars or other channels


• Drive cost exercise with factories and suppliers, obtain and negotiate costs with them in a timely manner, meet with customers budget


• Perform ad hoc duties and outdoor assignments if necessary

Requirements

• DSE / Form 5 or above


• Overseas study and work experience are required


• Experience in sourcing, product development in textile / garment / accessories / premium gifts / packaging, especially deal with US markets


• Experience in food packaging or food industry is an advantage


• Strong product knowledge and understanding of relevant manufacturing processes


• Excellent  communication skills both in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is essential


• Excellent research and analytical skills


• Proficient in MS office, Chinese word processing, video conference tools like Zoom and MS Teams


• Excellent communication skills, highly-organized, open-minded, flexible, and capable of working under pressure with multi-task assignments


• Based in Hong Kong, may need to travel to Mainland China, US and other Asian countries on business with General Manager and other executives
