Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Senior Architects and development teams to understand the business goals and needs
• Design scalable architecture for high-volume data processing and critical online systems
• Transform architecture design into infrastructure provisioning code
• Troubleshoot design flaws and system bottlenecks
• Identify hardware and software infrastructure requirements to meet architectural goals
• Perform validation tests to ensure flexibility and scalability in the Java environment
• Assist the software design team with application integration
• Conduct system performance tests and generate reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.
• Previous work experience as a software or Java architect.
• Advanced knowledge in software architecture with focus on building either critical online applications or data processing over million transactions daily
• Solid knowledge in Spring Framework, object-oriented programming, multithreading and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of DevOps Platform tooling (e.g. Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and Shell Script)
• Knowledge and experience in the following would be an advantage:
  • Building infrastructure with IaC using Terraform and Container Services in AWS, Azure and Alibaba cloud platform
  • Event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka or other messaging middleware
  • System monitoring with Telegraf, Grafana and ElasticSearch
  • Using Jenkins Pipeline to implement continuous build environments to accelerate software development
  • Performance test with Gatling or JMeter
  • Databases including PostgreSQL and NoSQL like DynamoDB
  • Building Datalakes in Parquet format with access using Serverless Data warehousing cloud services
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese with strong communication skills
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Architect
