Hypebeast is looking for an editorial intern who is passionate about digital storytelling and authentically connected to culture. With a highly motivated and independent approach to work, you will aid in several pillars of the editorial team; these pillars include writing, editing, social media and short-form video. This represents an experience to work behind-the-scenes of an online fashion publication with potential to be made permanent upon finishing the internship.
A successful candidate will display a high level of creativity and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced online editorial environment. This experience will teach you how to create digital news and long-form content for both web and social, how to conduct interviews, and how to work as part of a global editorial team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the publishing of daily content and news across web and social platforms.
- Brainstorm editorial, social, and video ideas and concepts with editors.
- Keep up to date with the cultural calendar and identify editorial opportunities in advance.
- Support on interviews and photoshoots as needed.
Candidates will demonstrate some of the following skills:
- Writing and communication in native English.
- Familiar with social media platforms and basic in Photoshop.
- Must be based and eligible to work in Hong Kong.
- Proactive, self-determined, and a team player.
- Knowledge of Hypebeast content at a local and international level.
- Must speak meme.
