Intern - Trend & Design (Jun - Aug) - HK

Summary

Joining our Trend & Design team as an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in adapting global market trends for the mass-market. Working in close support of our cross-functional teams, you will assist with daily trend research and the creation of new theme concepts to help ensure our vast range of non-food products remains relevant, innovative, and inspiring.

This role offers the opportunity to learn and work in a dynamic environment, where you will actively participate in the creative process across a broad range of categories—from fashion and textiles to home decor and hardgoods. By helping prepare trend reports and theme concepts and contributing to ad hoc graphic design projects, you will play a meaningful role in shaping the design direction of products reaching millions of households. This internship is based in our brand-new, premium, eco-friendly office at Airside, Kai Tak.

What you'll do

• Conduct trend & market research across all non-food product categories


• Support the Trend & Design team to put together trend reports and new theme concepts for all non-food product category areas


• Research data points to support trend insights


• Sample organisation support


• Presentation set-up support


• Ad hoc support on graphic design or trend projects as required

What you'll need

• Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic environment


• A good sense of market trends and interest in fashion and/or home decor


• To be studying towards or have completed a university level course in design or similar


• A working knowledge of Google applications such as Slides, Docs and Gmail


• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and some knowledge of Figma would be desirable


• Proficiency in both spoken and written English


• Good verbal presentation skills and the ability to explain your ideas


• To be proactive, self motivated and able to work independently


• Ability to work together with cross functional teams
