Lecturer - Foundation Skills Subjects - Part-Time

The applicant must possess:

1. a recognised degree in Chinese Language, English Language, or related disciplines, preferably with a teacher's certificate or diploma;
2. a minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience in Chinese or English Language teaching in educational and/or vocational training settings (candidates with slightly less experience but a passionate commitment to teaching will also be considered);
3. a good understanding of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF) and outcome-based education;
4. knowledge of and experience in the construction industry would be an advantage;
5. good proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
6. the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as a team player.

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and/or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include:

1. to teach Chinese or English modules for construction programmes during daytime and evening classes;
2. to perform teaching duties at different campuses of HKIC as required;
3. to handle student and academic administration duties related to course delivery; and
4. to perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
