Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer (Fine Art / Illustration / Graphic Design)

The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities.  Applications are now invited for part-time (Daytime) Lecturer posts for the programme of BA (Hons) Fine Art, BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Illustration offered at SHAPE (DILWL) in the academic year 2024/25.

Major Duties :

To conduct lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops and project supervision at the bachelor’s degree level;

To carry out academic-related administration duties, including setting and marking assignments, moderation, and serving in academic and other related meetings;

To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;

To coordinate guest lectures; and

To participate in school projects and functions, where necessary.

Requirements :

A recognised master’s degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional qualifications in the relevant subject areas;

At least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level or relevant work experience;

Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;

Good interpersonal skills; and

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in tertiary education.
