IVE Engineering has organised a number of high-quality professional development programmes for engineering practitioners in the areas of Construction, Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical and Building Services and Transportation Engineering. In order to meet the increase in demand of our services, we are looking for high caliber professionals with relevant work experience to provide part-time teaching in the following specialisms:

-Electrical Rotating Machines
-Materials and Chemistry
-Mechanical Equipment
(IV)Lift & Escalator Engineering
-Design and relevant Code of Practices in Lift and Escalator Engineering
-Testing and Examination works and Measurement in Advanced Equipment
-Welding Inspection
-Supervisory and Management in Lift and Escalator
-Project Management in Lift and Escalator
-Occupational Safety & Health Management
(V)Gas Engineering
(VI)Occupational Safety and Health for Engineering
(VII)Fleet Management
Major Duties :
(a)To conduct lectures and perform other teaching related activities or duties, such as preparing teaching materials, setting assignments and examination papers, and marking both assignments and examination scripts for the programmes in the above subject areas (teaching materials and lectures will be in either Chinese or English); and
(b)To attend coordination meetings when necessary.
Requirements :
(a)A relevant recognised degree or equivalent with relevant professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b)At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
(c)Experience in curriculum and training material development and instructional design is preferred;
(d)For specialism (IV) Lift & Escalator Engineering :
(i)A relevant recognised degree in Law, Project Management, Occupational Safety & Health Management, Lift and Escalator Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields; and/or equivalent professional qualification of welding technology, registered lift/escalator engineer, or membership of professional institutions such as the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers;
(ii)Preference will be given to candidates with teaching/practical experience in the legal aspects, project management, occupational safety & health management, welding technology, maintenance, testing and commissioning, or modernization related to lifts and escalators;
(iii)Good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage;
(e)For specialism (VI) Occupational Safety and Health for Engineering :
Holder of Registered Safety Officer (RSO) is preferred; and
(f)Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese.
