Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I - Part-Time

Project Title: AI in Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Self-directed Learning (SDL) for K-12 Students
[Appointment Period: 12 months]

The appointee will be responsible for providing research and project management support for joint centre project in innovative teaching and learning. Duties include conducting literature review on technology-enhanced teaching and learning (e.g., AI, AR, learning analytics, etc.), conducting instructional design for teaching and learning materials (e.g., text-based content, audio-/video-based content, etc.), coordinating and collaborating with team members to implement and validate project platforms and deliverables, constructing and defining parameters of a geospatial database, conducting data cleaning and processing as well as quantitative and qualitative data analysis, drafting academic papers and project reports; organising seminars and workshops for project dissemination, as well as performing other duties assigned by the Director, Executive Co-Director and Associate Directors. The appointment will be for a period of around 12 months.

For the post of Senior Research Assistant, applicants should have a Master’s Degree, preferably in Educational Technology, Learning Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Education, Artificial Intelligence and/or related disciplines, plus one-year post Master’s degree full-time working experience. For the post of Research Assistant, applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related disciplines, preferably with relevant post-qualification fulltime working experience.

Applicants should have an excellent command of written English and Chinese, proficiency in spoken Cantonese, high capability of learning materials development and conducting statistical analysis. A sound background in statistics and experience in using statistical packages such as SPSS and R, is advantageous. They should be self-motivated and able to work as a team member. Applicants with academic background and research experience in related fields would be preferable. Immediately available is preferred. The applicant should be local or holding a valid VISA such as an IANG or Student VISA with no objection letter.
