What the day will look like

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated part time Project Analyst Intern to join our retrocession client data automation project in June 2025. This role is ideal for a young aspiring professional who is passionate about blending technology with natural catastrophe knowledge to impact the field of reinsurance solutions positively. You will be involved in an innovative project aimed at risk data automating processes and developing insights into natural catastrophe risks and retrocession business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of automation tools for risk data analysis.
  • Participate in the analysis and processing of data related to natural catastrophe risks.
  • Collaborate with brokers and stakeholders to design project scopes and objectives.
  • Utilize programming skills for the customization and improvement of automation analytics tools.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that communicate project results effectively to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a high school or university program with robust coursework in Computer Science, Mathematics and Environmental Science
  • Demonstrated academic excellence, including honor roll recognitions and high performance in advanced placement courses.
  • Active participation in extracurricular activities, particularly those that demonstrate leadership in technology and environmental advocacy.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Fundamental understanding of data analysis and its application in problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; sSome mandarin and other languages would be advantageous.
  • A keen interest in and knowledge of climate change and natural disasters.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on complex tasks.
