Systems Engineer (Project) (Part-time)
Department of Architecture (01/QESS/2021)
[appointment period: from May - December 2024]
Responsibilities:
The appointee is expected to:
- Responsible for developing environmental simulation software programmes
- Responsible for database construction and user‐interface design, calibration and rendering process.
- Competence in Java Script, Visual Studio Code, Python, and OpenGL
- Participate in development of design, coding, testing, implementation and maintenance.
- Closely communicating with team members to ensure the project status is aligning with schedule, providing system support to end-users if necessary and taking up administration duties for organising workshops and seminars.
- Join weekly progress meetings (online)
Applicants should have:
- Master’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, programming infrastructure, systems development, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of related working experience in programming, software development etc.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proven experience in building software with Unity 5.0+.
- Working experience with software development and system integration with knowledge in.
- Programming languages (Visual Studio Code, Python, and OpenGL, C++, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g. NodeJS, Git)
- Server technologies: Linux, Java, Python, Node.js and/or Express.js
- Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, Bootstrap and ReactJS
- Proven experience with web design portfolio.
- Understanding of Teaching Platform Systems.
- Willing to learn, self-motivated and independent.
- Able to work under pressure and fast-paced environment.
