ABOUT THE TEAM

ESF Explore, a subsidiary of the English Schools Foundation, delivers a highly successful programme of After-School sports coaching as well as English and other language teaching for children across Hong Kong. We offer classes in 22 ESF schools across Hong Kong and in ESF Language & Learning Centre.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ESF Explore is looking for a marketing assistant to support the Marketing Team to execute online and offline marketing activities. This includes executing marketing plan & campaigns, activities, events and channel development.

Role Tasks

• Having excellent skills in storytelling to identify a special marketing approach and present our programs in an engaging story format
• Create and manage content for the digital platforms, including Video shooting & editing and artwork development.
• Type out engaging captions for social media posts that are accessible to viewers for each distinct platform.
• Post stories on social media platforms to increase engagement with stakeholders and create an entertaining presence
• Analyse social media post performance depending on time, day of week and other performance factors
• Take photos and videos for future use in marketing materials
• Update website content to reflect the latest news and programmes to stakeholders
• Write blog content to help engage our stakeholders. Focusing on educating on the importance of extracurricular participation
• Participate in the planning of various events to fulfil branding of the organisation

Main Accountabilities

• Manage social media content including visuals and captions
• Manage weekly posts on social media platforms
• Handle photo and video taking and editing
• Create social media content
• Blog post ideation and creation
• Provide a monthly recap on social media post performance

Typical reporting relationship

• Reports to: Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager
• The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Team. They will form working relationships with appropriate schools staff to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning. Other frequent contacts are students, parents, ESF administration staff and ESF Sports and Language staff.

Minimum typical education

• Completed or completing Secondary Education

Minimum typical experience

• Proven experience in marketing administration interest and exploration
• Evidence of graphic design exploration

Core Professional / Technical Competencies required

Abilities:

• Interested in marketing educational programmes with specificity in interest based curriculums
• Enthusiasm, the ability to motivate and lead others
• Work and function effectively within a team
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• A confident and professional manner

Knowledge:

• Understand trends of current consumers of various age groups
• Has awareness of social media management and growth strategies
• Able to identify graphic structure and core points of promotional materials

Core Soft / Transferable Competencies required

• Possess good level of computer knowledge, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Canva, Google Docs/Apps/Drive
• Able to work independently and in a group
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English verbal and written communication is essential
• Fluency in Chinese is an asset

• Willing and enthusiastic about continued professional development, education and training
