Job Description - Client Service Associate (CS Executive)/Sales Assist (Asset Management) $30K UP

  • Our client, a well-known international company, is now looking for Client Service Associate join within their team.

    Summary of Role:

    The Associate will sit within the Business Operations and Client Service Organization of the firm’s Client Group and supports key areas of Institutional Sales and Client Service. This role partners with Institutional Advisors and Client Service professionals to distribute marketing and presentation content, manage meeting preparation and coordination (local/regional/global meetings), manage training program preparation, maintain oversight of CRM (Salesforce) data and support a range of projects to deliver outcomes on behalf of the firm’s largest clients and prospects. To be successful across all aspects of the role, the associate must be well organized, have strong attention to detail, and build relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and external.

    The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, preferably with knowledge of the asset management industry and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical, communication and organisational skills. The ability to work successfully in a team is a must. An undergraduate university degree is preferred, and prior relevant work experience is desirable. A strong work ethic and healthy ambition for responsibility is also essential.

    Responsibilities:

    Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of CRM (Salesforce) data to a high quality for 3-5 Institutional Sales colleagues with a specific focus on: o Meeting and Activity Logs, Opportunity (Sales Cycle) Updates, Contact Details, Consultant Relationships, Key Internal Business Partners, Product Interest, and Client Deliverables
  • Arrange and participate in periodic portfolio updates with Asia ex Japan based clients, working closely with AB investment professionals as needed
  • Partner with Client Service Professionals, Sales Advisors, Business Development and Portfolio Managers to customize and finalise Client Servicing and Prospecting presentations
  • Coordinating and overseeing client servicing and prospecting materials: presentations, RFIs/RFPs, due diligence questionnaires, ad hoc reports, general correspondence, etc
  • Work with Sales & Client Service Leadership on client plans, business-at-risk or other client reports/information
  • Executing on logistics for on-site meetings and events occurring at AB global offices (e.g. room bookings, arranging printed materials, coordinating facilities, AV services, etc.)
  • Develop a working knowledge of AB products and investment processes
  • Support Client Service partners with regular and ad-hoc client queries
  • Collaborating with internal departments/stakeholders (including portfolio management, business development, operations, client reporting, legal and compliance, among others) to successfully address client queries (including product/performance/market/meeting-related; operational issues; legal amendments; billing queries etc)
  • Skills / Experience:

  • Ideally 1-2 years client servicing experience in a financial institution
  • Undergraduate university degree. Financial/economics background is desirable, but not essential
  • Must be a team player and work well with Sales Advisors, Associates, and other team members
  • Candidates should have an interest in the financial industry and be enthusiastic and motivated
  • Strong time management and organisation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure and prioritise in order to meet deadlines
  • Motivated, dynamic self-starter, willing to take ownership of work and ability to handle assignments and projects with minimal direction
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, detail-orientation
  • Must be professional, courteous and flexible at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce.com a plus
