Job description


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Delivery Manager to effectively manage and oversee the successful delivery of production releases.
  • Engage closely with the Product Owner and Business Analysts to gain a comprehensive understanding of business and functional requirements.
  • Foster collaboration among team members to ensure consistent implementation across various channels.
  • Work closely with the development team and testing resources to guarantee that the implementation aligns with the defined requirements.
  • Define and effectively communicate system requirements to relevant development teams, including upstream and downstream systems.
  • Establish clear test requirements, define the scope, and create a well-structured test schedule.
  • Lead the process of preparing test cases and test data, as well as executing the tests.
  • Identify and report any defects found, working closely with the development team to identify appropriate fixes.
  • Regularly report test results to the working team, team lead, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for production support.
  • Conduct sanity checks and provide support for post-production checks, occasionally requiring work during overnight and public holiday hours midnight to 4 am once to twice a month).
    Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years of experience in solution delivery within an IT role.
  • Possess a strong background in the insurance industry, preferably in NB POS/eApplication, with knowledge of FNA, proposal processes, and the entire insurance application journey.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with offshore development teams.
  • Proficient in managing all aspects of solution delivery, including requirements gathering, development, and testing phases.
  • Hands-on experience in test case preparation, execution, defect management, and test reporting is desirable.
  • Ability to translate requirements into a comprehensive test plan with adequate coverage.
  • Willingness and ability to thrive under high-pressure situations.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring overtime and work outside of regular office hours.
  • Capable of providing guidance to team members with less experience.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent and mature in decision-making.
  • Proactive personality with effective communication skills.
  • A team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
