We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in BigCommerce and exposure to Salesforce Commerce Cloud and other enterprise eCommerce platforms. The role requires leading solution design, architecture, and delivery across large-scale digital commerce initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical knowledge, architectural vision, and leadership skills to enable scalable, flexible, and customer-centric commerce solutions. Lead end-to-end solution design for digital commerce initiatives with BigCommerce as a core platform. Define integration strategies with ERP, CRM (Salesforce/others), OMS, PIM, Payment, and Marketing Automation tools. Evaluate client requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical architectures. Provide solution blueprints covering performance, security, scalability, and cost optimization. Work closely with cross-functional teams (business analysts, UI/UX, developers, QA, DevOps) to ensure cohesive delivery. Lead cloud-native and headless commerce implementations, leveraging APIs, GraphQL, and microservices. Guide migration strategies from legacy platforms (e.g., SAP Hybris, Magento, Salesforce, Shopify) to BigCommerce or hybrid solutions. Act as a technology advisor for eCommerce best practices, product evaluations, and architecture governance. Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycle. Collaborate with client executives and stakeholders to define digital commerce roadmaps. Required Skills & Experience: 15+ years of overall IT experience, with 8+ years in eCommerce architecture. Strong expertise in BigCommerce solution design and implementation. Solid exposure to Salesforce Commerce Cloud or other enterprise-grade commerce platforms (Magento/Adobe, SAP Commerce, Shopify Plus). Proficiency in headless commerce architecture, APIs, GraphQL, and MACH principles. Experience integrating commerce platforms with CRM, ERP, OMS, PIM, DAM, and third-party services. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines for eCommerce delivery. Experience in B2B and B2C commerce ecosystems. Familiarity with SEO, personalization, analytics, and marketing automation tools. Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex enterprise projects. Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with both technical and business stakeholders. Good to Have: ----------------------- Salesforce certifications (Commerce/Marketing/Service Cloud Architect). BigCommerce certifications or hands-on SaaS commerce platform expertise. Knowledge of marketplace solutions Experience with integration platforms (MuleSoft, Workato, Dell Boomi).
