Infopro Learning is seeking a skilled Skytap Engineer for a contract position supporting one of our top clients. This role will provide vital support for our client’s training department, handling the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of virtual machines (VMs) on the Skytap platform. You’ll collaborate closely with trainers and subject matter experts to create and sustain virtual environments tailored to specific courses, ensuring cost-effective and high-performing infrastructure.

Position type: Long-term contract role

Location: Remote, open to candidates based in India

Shift timing: Primary shift 3 pm – 12 am IST with flexibility

Utilization: 40 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• VM Deployment & Support: Deploy, configure, and maintain Skytap VMs for various training courses, aligning resources to meet specific course needs.

• Collaboration with SMEs: Partner with trainers and subject matter experts to design virtual labs for new courses and optimize existing ones.

• Platform Monitoring & Cost Management: Actively monitor the Skytap environment, implementing strategies to optimize performance and reduce costs.

• Technical Support: Serve as the first line of support for learners, troubleshooting VM issues to ensure a seamless training experience.

• Documentation & Process Improvement: Develop and update technical documentation and troubleshooting guides for efficient VM management.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in virtualization, VM deployment, and technical support.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred) and API integrations.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), visualization tools (Grafana, PowerBI), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.

• Preferred: Background in machine learning and AI.
