Job Description - Lab Engineer/Assistant

Key job is to Ensure the Availability of Lab, Instruments and Equipment for any immediate use.

• Study and map the productivity bottlenecks for the Researchers and Engineers utility of the lab

• Adept at maintaining and handling in-Lab Equipment like Robotic Arm Handling, Test infrastructure running, Server Schedules handling, 3D printer handling, etc.

• Design equipment, infrastructure and processes that will ensure nimble utility of the Lab and ensure maximization of productivity.

• Must have a strong understanding of the Lab Electrical infrastructure and must actively participate in improving the same.

• Must have a strong understanding for Lab Safety protocols and must be adept in enabling the same.

• Must be good with Vendor Identification / Discovery, Vendor Approach / Negotiation and Vendor Management.

• Must be adept at facilitating and handling Material Logistics.

• Must be excellent with Inventory Management and Asset tracking – must constantly innovate upon methods to implement process and infrastructure that enables from effective inventory management.

• Must be empathetic towards the Unpredictable fast-changing requirements of the Organization as a start-up and must not bring up procedures and Lab Standards that are detrimental to the Nimbleness and growth of the organization.

• Responsible for the general Infrastructure maintenance and up-keep of Lab Consumables.

• Must be able to help with all electronics related testing and workstation tasks like Soldering, Crimping, wiring, etc.
