Job Description - IT Support Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Support Engineer in India.
In this role, you will support and scale global IT operations by delivering reliable, high-quality technical support to employees across multiple regions. You will work closely with IT leadership to manage devices, applications, and access while maintaining a secure and compliant environment. The position is hands-on and user-focused, covering end-user support, onboarding and offboarding, and systems administration. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-growing, remote-friendly SaaS environment. Working primarily during U.S. business hours, you will help resolve issues efficiently and improve IT workflows. This role is ideal for a proactive support engineer who enjoys problem-solving and operating in dynamic environments.

Accountabilities

    • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 end-user support for macOS, Windows, applications, networking, VPN, and single sign-on
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for users across regions and time zones while meeting defined SLAs
    • Manage IT ticket queues, prioritize requests, and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests
    • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by provisioning devices, configuring accounts, and ensuring timely access
    • Administer and support core business applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Zoom, 1Password, and related tools
    • Maintain accurate device inventory, asset tracking, and coordinate repairs, replacements, and logistics
    • Ensure devices meet security standards, including encryption, patching, and endpoint monitoring
    • Support security and compliance initiatives, including access reviews, audits, and evidence collection
    • Assist with IT projects related to system integrations, automation, scaling, and compliance frameworks
    • Maintain clear IT documentation, SOPs, and user-facing guides to support consistent operations
    • Requirements
    • 5–8 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or systems support roles
    • Willingness and ability to work during U.S. shift timings
    • Strong hands-on experience with macOS and Windows device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
    • Solid knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration
    • Experience with MDM tools such as Rippling, Intune, Jamf, or Kandji
    • Basic understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPN, and Wi-Fi
    • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
    • Experience supporting users in distributed or global environments
    • Nice-to-have experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks
    • Bonus certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Google Cybersecurity credentials
    • Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Jira administration, automation tools, or scripting
