SAP Technical Consultant - Basis (K4)

Job Summary:

Syntax Systems Ltd is seeking an experienced SAP Basis / Technology Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Greenfield, Bluefield, and Brownfield implementations covering both SAP Private (On Premise, SAP) and Public (Cloud) environments.  The consultant will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying SAP solutions

Key Responsibilities: 

• Proficient in SAP S/4HANA (Public and Private), SAP BW, Fiori Launchpad, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Datasphere, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Manager (CALM), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Cloud Identity Services, SAP Web Dispatchers, and SAP Data Provisioning tools


• Proficient in Database Technologies (SAP HANA, Microsft SQL, Oracle, MaxDB, Sybase ASE)


• SAP System Administration – Managing installations, configuration, SSO, SAP GUI, certificates, performance turning, Database Administration, table reorganizations and maintenance of SAP systems.


• SAP Upgrade & Migration – Experience with system upgrades and migrations including project planning and collaborations.


• Collaborate with users to research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues per service level agreements and operational level agreements.


• Coordinate with internal IT teams, managed service providers, and vendors to ensure transparent communication for scheduled and unscheduled SAP activities.


• Given the nature of the system administration role, this position necessitates occasional availability outside of standard business hours, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

• Over 6+ years in information technology solutions with experience on SAP RISE (Public and Private) Platforms.


• 6+ years in administration and management of SAP applications, particularly SAP ERP (S/4, ECC) SAP BW/4HANA, and integration of various Cloud/On-Premises and Third-Party Systems.


• Database Management – Expertise SAP HANA Connectivity, Administration, and Security


• SAP Performance Tuning – Optimizing system performance and troubleshooting issues.


• Transport Management System (TMS) – Handling changes across development, testing, and production environments.


• Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline


• Cloud Connector Administration - Knowledge in configuration of SAP Cloud Connector


• Skills with Cloud Connector and Web Dispatchers are advantageous.


• Self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.


• Works well in a team environment with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SAP BTP administration, security, and trust setup with IAS.


• SAP Cloud ALM (Good to have)


• Knowledge of architecture design, principles, deployment processes, tools, and techniques.


• Operating Systems Knowledge – Familiarity with Linux, Unix, and Windows.

Educational and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• SAP Technology Certifications is preferred but not mandatory.
