We are searching for a highly motivated & experienced Event Manager to join our growing team. This person will plan and execute events for the developer audience. The ideal candidate is a self starter who excels in event marketing, and project management in a face-paced environment..
In this role, you’ll partner with one of the world’s leading brands and be the driving force behind driving engagement and growth.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute developer focused events consisting of hands-on-labs, instructor-led training, and hackathons events at customer locations.
- Ensure seamless execution, including venue selection, vendor management, speaker coordination/prep, logistics, catering and sourcing swag.
- Liaison with training partners and testing agencies providing content for events.
- Manage on-site logistics and event staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders (speakers, sponsors, partners, and vendors).
- Manage customer communications for event questions and registration process.
- Create landing page and registration page builds, including timelines, copywriting, design updates, and launches.
- Align with the local marketing team on event schedule and customer communications.
- Provide program management support for additional campaigns, partnerships, and sponsorships as needed, ensuring coordination across teams and timely execution.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance and trends. Ability to recommend improvements
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into event marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
Your Toolkit
- 4-8 years of experience in B2B marketing, within the tech or media industry (must have)
- Experience working with Software Engineers and a Developer audience. Plus for experience with organizing hackathons
- Experience managing live events, vendors, attendees and internal stake-holders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and autonomous work style, with a highly organized and collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong copywriting and editing skills
- Desire to learn and experiment with new generative AI technologies and tools
- Ability to travel for on-site events
- Bachelors (Business, Marketing, or Creative discipline) or MBA degree
