Senior Technology Sourcer, Backend Engineering (B2B SaaS)
Location: Bangalore, India
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technology Sourcer to join our dynamic talent acquisition team in Bangalore. You will play a pivotal role in building the backbone of our innovative B2B SaaS products by identifying, engaging, and attracting top-tier backend product development engineers. This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor to our growth in the thriving Indian SaaS market.
Job Responsibilities
- As a Senior Technology Sourcer, you will be at the forefront of our engineering hiring efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute robust sourcing strategies to build a strong pipeline of qualified backend software engineers with experience in building scalable products and APIs for B2B SaaS companies.
- Candidate Engagement: Proactively connect with and engage passive candidates through various channels, including professional networks, social media, and industry events. You will be expected to craft compelling messaging that resonates with a technical audience.
- Technical Acumen & Screening: Conduct initial screening calls to assess candidates' technical skills, particularly in areas such as REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. You will need to confidently discuss technical concepts and evaluate a candidate's depth of knowledge.
- Qualification & Pipeline Management: Thoroughly qualify candidates for both technical and cultural fit. This includes managing compensation expectations and ensuring a smooth transition of qualified candidates to the recruiting team for the next steps in the hiring process.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and talent market in the Bangalore B2B SaaS ecosystem. Provide insights and data to the recruiting and hiring teams to inform our hiring strategy.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand the nuances of our backend engineering roles and the ideal candidate profile.
Job Requirements
- To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a technology Sourcer within a corporate recruiting environment, with a demonstrable track record of success.
- B2B SaaS Expertise: Direct experience working for or recruiting for a B2B SaaS company is mandatory. You understand the unique challenges and opportunities of this industry.
- Technical Recruiting Background: Proven experience in sourcing and recruiting for backend product development software engineers. You are familiar with the technologies and skills required for building robust and scalable products and integrations (APIs).
- Deep Sourcing Knowledge: Expertise in various sourcing methodologies and tools to find and engage top technical talent.
- Strong Technical Aptitude: A solid understanding of backend technologies, including REST APIs, microservices, and related frameworks and languages. You should be able to hold your own in a conversation with a seasoned engineer.
- Exceptional Screening Skills: The ability to effectively screen candidates for technical competence, including assessing their hands-on experience and problem-solving abilities.
- Compensation Management: Experience in managing and navigating compensation expectations with candidates in the competitive Bangalore market.
