Job Description - Assistant General Manager

The position is for a Manufacturing company based in New Delhi.

Key Responsibilities

  • The AGM A&F will be responsible for financial reporting, preparing, analyzing the standalone & consolidated financial statement, coordinating for statutory audit and ensuring compliance in the financial reporting process
  • Decide on investments of company funds, oversee the capital structure and optimal financing options for the company, provide strategic direction, as well as track cash flow, manage the accounting and finance departments, and ensure the company's financial reports are accurate.
  • Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets and expenditures.
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Banking and Treasury operations: Daily Payment and Banking Operations
  • Business planning & forecasting preparing annual business plans at the group level, variance analysis, forecasting etc.
  • Managing the key Finance departments such as Treasury, P2P, Financial systems, Risk & Controls on tasks and projects with a cross functional impact.
  • Producing finance-related reports for Senior Management, internal and external auditors where applicable. Liaise with the banking and regulatory authorities and maintain good relations with them.
  • Managing the governmental reports, annual returns and / or various statutory and statistical filings for multiple entities in accordance with all internal policies and external requirements
  • Oversee cross-functional accounting activities (e.g. daily cash, revenue, costs, prepaid, fixed assets, intangibles, inter-company transactions, accruals, leases, investments, dividends, and debt transactions)

  • This role requires a strong understanding of ethical principles, compliance regulations, and best practices in business integrity as this is a leadership position as a head of Finance and Administration to oversee Accounts and Administration departments.
  • Extensive hands on experience in Corporate Accounting and in all RTR domain Fixed asset, Inter-company (Consolidations) or experience in Financial Control role.
  • Proactive and client-centric attitude

Must- Have Requirements

  • Preferably 6-8 years of experience and knowledge of accounting practices in the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum qualification - Graduation with a MBA/CA or equivalent degree from an A-grade institute is preferred.
  • Adept with data management - Knowledge of working with MS Office Suite – excel, word and PowerPoint and Familiarity with accounting software’s like SAP is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Firm grasp of accounting principles with excellent analytical and problem solving skill
