faculty. Currently, we are looking to fill the position of Assistant Professor in Accounts.

*Location: Amtala (Globsyn Business School Campus)

*Qualifying Criteria as per AICTE – Assistant Professor A full time Masters in Business Administration/ PGDM/ C.A/ ICWA/ M.Com with First Class or equivalent and two years of professional experience after acquiring the degree of Master’s degree.

Consulting:

*Able to collaborate with industry for consulting assignments. Must consult with at least one domestic company in a year.

*Organize requisite number of management development program in a year. Participate in external professional forums, seminars, conferences etc.

Student Development:

*Conduct classes as per schedule and focus on student mentoring.

*Enhance the academic performance of students. Prepare question papers & evaluate answer scripts within the stipulated time .

*Address student grievances as per the guidance of the senior authorities, manage student welfare activities and be a patron figure at student events.

*Motivate the students to participate in various internal / external events, research works, seminars etc.

*Participate in student enrollment processes.

*Mentor students during their SIP, Dissertation, Boardroom Simulation Activity. Manage annual events of the institute, such as Induction and Convocation.

*Update the program curriculum in association with Knowledge Cell based on market requirements under supervision of the Principal.

Area of teaching:

*Conceptual and regulatory framework of financial accounting.

*The nature of financial accounting systems along with the theoretical and practical implications of journal, ledger, trial balance, financial statements. Analysis of various types of financial statements. *Introduction to Management Accounting and its techniques Introduction to cost control and associated techniques like Budgetary Control, Variance Analysis and CVP Analysis.

*Introduction to certain modern management & cost accounting techniques.

Research & Publications:

*Involve actively in research based activities and publish it in reputed journals.

*Networking & presenting research at conferences to enhance visibility in the academic community.

*Staying updated in their field and collaborate with established researchers for institutional growth.

Skills:

*The ability to teach and mentor students effectively.

*The ability to inspire and engage students in their subject matter.

*The ability to adapt to changing academic and technological environments.

*Strong research skills and a track record of publication.

Extra-Curricular & Institutional Building Activities: Inculcate extra-curricular elements and help to develop well-rounded students. Encourage and motivate students through various experiential learning beyond classroom.

Industry Connect: Plan & organize GBS Student Industry visits. Participate actively in industry meets etc on behalf of GBS.
