Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a Finance Controller for efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. They may help gather financial data, perform analysis, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Supporting internal or external audit processes by gathering documentation, performing audit tests, and addressing audit queries under the guidance of the Finance Controller. They may also assist in implementing audit recommendations.
- Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, preparing financial models, and analyzing variances between actual and budgeted figures. They may also contribute to the development of budgeting guidelines and assumptions.
- Performing financial analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization. This could involve analyzing financial performance, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and evaluating investment opportunities.
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. They may help prepare regulatory filings, tax returns, and other compliance documents, and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes. This could involve assisting in system upgrades, data migration, and troubleshooting issues related to accounting software and tools.
- Taking care of cash management and treasury operations, including monitoring cash flows, preparing cash forecasts, and managing banking relationships. They may also help optimize working capital management.
- Supporting Month-End and Year-End Close Processes.
Qualification and Experience:
- CA from a top college with a strong pedigree of working with high-quality firms.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in financial service industry.
