Head of Finance and Accounting

Job Description

• Manage & lead a team of 5-6 accountants
• Cross departmental budgeting
• Ensure adequacy of financial reporting processes with the right checks and balances
• Prepare MIS and financial documents monthly
• Manage cash flow
• Manage creditors & debtors for the company
• External & Internal stakeholder management
• Analysing complex financial data to prepare reports, provide insights
• Recommend cost reduction strategies
• Adhere to financial & taxation laws as per govt laws
• Create secure process to contain confidential information

Skills/Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Head of Finance or similar role with a previous background in a Food Company
• Must have worked closely with management / founders
• Must have familiarity in presenting to investors & relevant senior stakeholders
• Experience in fund raising
• In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
• Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Leadership abilities
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• MSc/MBA or relevant certification (e.g. CA/CFA) is a plus
