Job Description - Key Account Manager

To manage and grow sales, margin & profitability of Parksons products and customers to meet sales & profit objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sustainable growth and achieve sales budgets and growth targets on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Achieve Sales budgets.
  • Manage Finished Goods stock in line with budgets and company stock holding policy especially ensuring Aged Stock does not eventuate but if so, proactively determine appropriate action to address.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable in line with company guidelines and policy.
  • Identify and develop sales to new customers in new channels.
  • Develop, implement and monitor action plans to increase customer base, volume and market presence.
  • Monitor competitive environment and make appropriate recommendations to senior management.
  • Contribute and develop the annual marketing plan with Team Leader.
  • Takes accountability for keeping up to date on technical and product knowledge, systems, policies and procedures.
  • Submit detailed weekly / monthly status reports on performance and activities undertaken or contemplated.
  • Effectively prioritizes and focuses to generate and close business opportunities and ensure all systems, processes and sales tools are understood and utilised by self and team.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary education with a professional sales and marketing qualification.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in sales (in either food service or packaging industry).
  • Must possess strong analytical, planning, organisational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to focus on the key growth strategies.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all departments and outside CUSTOMERS.
  • Has the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Excellent market knowledge of QSRs and national distribution channels.
  • Ability to motivate individuals to consistently perform at a level required to meet quota.
  • Must have worked in an environment with dynamic work requirements and changing priorities.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be computer literate with analytical skills.
