Job Objective:
Clairvolex is a Series A and Series B-funded organization by Silicon Valley investors with meticulous financial governance systems and processes. The company is gearing up for scale and growth and this position plays a critical and active role in supporting the Head of the Function in executing day-to-day functions and supporting strategic activities.
This position has an opportunity to lead the ‘Accounts & Finance function’ and fast-track one’s growth to the next level (Director) in 18 months after proven success in key metrics and independent handling of the defined F&A function.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary everyday responsibilities will range from accounting tasks, accounts payables, treasury management, reporting, payroll support, tax operations, and audit coordination:
- Manage day-to-day and business-as-usual accounting operations with minimal supervision.
- Review and ensure accurate and regular expense accounting with reference to budgets/plans/forecasts and payment proposals.
- Review and report cash balances, daily cashflows, and bank reconciliations.
- Month and year closing activities –
- Plan and drive provisions, prepaid release, Fixed Assets, depreciation, payroll accounting, variance Analysis and review.
- Perform and ensure monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations are performed for appropriate actions/key decisions are taken and executed for resolving issues: Accounts payable, corporate taxes, prepaid, provisions, bank, loans, deposits, advance, Fixed Assets, capital work in progress, payroll and inter-company.
- Support the head of the function as an analyst for tax operations – Corporate tax return coordination per Income Tax Act, and GST compliances & and assessments, and contribute to assessment proceedings.
- Manage ERP utilities to improve accounting operations - Implementation and modification of ERP Reports.
- Assist closely with the head of the function, FP&A manager, and CFO office on strategic matters.
Function & Process Development: Candidate must have proven past ability/experience in:
- Review and re-design (if required) the department's various F&A processes, systems, and procedures to strengthen the Finance Operations as a special project in first 18 months of joining.
Business Reporting & Review: Candidate must have proven past ability/experience in:
- Prepare first draft of F&A reports for bi-monthly review.
- Be the custodian of reporting process and audit coordination - Preparation of financial statements per Companies Act, collaborate internal efforts for statutory and tax audits.
Education & Candidate Profile:
- Must be from a Tier A or B school & college.
- Must be a first-attempt qualified CA with a minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Must have experience in handling audits by Big 4s.
- Must have thorough knowledge & past experience in handling Transfer Pricing audits and assessments.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Proficient at MS office suite, particularly advanced Excel.
- ERP exposure – Microsoft Navision (preferable), or any other ERP like SAP, Oracle, Tally.
- Experience in corporate E-banking.
- Excellent written and spoken communication.
