Profile : Manager - IT InfrastructureJob Description :- The Manager - IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's information technology infrastructure, ensuring its stability, reliability, and security- This role involves leading a team of IT professionals and collaborating with other departments to ensure the effective operation of all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure components- Key Responsibilities:Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement strategic plans for the organization's IT infrastructure to meet current and future business needs- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems to enhance the IT infrastructure and optimize operations- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align IT infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals- Infrastructure Management:Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and data centers- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure components through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access or breaches- Team Leadership and Development:Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing- Provide guidance and support to the team in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and implementing solutions- Vendor Management:Evaluate and select external vendors and service providers for IT infrastructure projects or ongoing support- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms with vendors- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with agreed-upon service levels and contractual obligations- Incident and Problem Management:Respond to and resolve escalated infrastructure-related incidents and problems in a timely manner- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents- Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles- IT Governance and Compliance:Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT infrastructure- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement appropriate controls- Budgeting and Cost Management:Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, including forecasting and cost optimization initiatives- Monitor expenditures, track financial performance, and report on budget variances- Identify opportunities for cost savings and recommend strategies to optimize IT infrastructure investments- Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers- Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization (ref:hirist.tech)
