What can you expect?

The Payroll Operations Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day execution of payroll tasks to establish and maintain accurate employee and payroll records, execute payroll processing, production, and ultimately produce accurate and timely payroll payments to employees for Marsh & McLennan Companies and its related subsidiaries

We are looking to hire a Senior Specialist – US Payroll in the HR Shared Services The HRSS team at GOSS Operations & Technology is a hub formed as a part of the HR Transformation aimed towards providing services for a total new HR Service Delivery Model. The HR Shared service model provides services to our colleagues across all operating companies such as Marsh, Mercer, MMC, Guy Carpenter & Oliver Wyman. The HRSS team at GOSS Operations & Technology provides services as a global hub in various work streams such as: -

• Workforce Administration (WFA) - The work stream requires performing the HR transaction processing in Workday pertaining to employee data Management and updating from Hire to Termination.

• Payroll - The Team drives all the activities needed to pay an employee accurately and on time. It includes review of employee data maintained & impacting payroll, Pre & Post Payroll activities along with statuary and internal reporting. It also includes payment disbarment to employee & vendors accounts and dealing with government bodies of respective region. This role will be responsible for working for the Global Payroll Tasks

• Manage the end-to-end processing of the payroll function in a timely and efficient manner ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements across APC

• Ensuring the correct and timely maintenance of pay, costing and leave records.

• Ensuring comprehensive and timely resolution of payroll, remuneration and salary packaging queries

• Ensuring an effective and accurate payroll service, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of the salaries of the employees

• Own accountability by being able to help the teams troubleshoot issues in projects on both technical and business side.

• Meet the standard employee measurement factors like KRAs and Project SLAs

We will count on you to:

  • The Payroll Operations Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day execution of payroll tasks to establish and maintain accurate employee and payroll records, execute payroll processing, production, and ultimately produce accurate and timely payroll payments to employees for Marsh & McLennan Companies and its related subsidiaries.
  • The Payroll Operations Analyst is responsible for closely following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies at all times to ensure company compliance and minimize risk. 
  • This position requires basic to intermediate knowledge of company policies and procedures, federal, state/provincial and local payroll tax law and employment regulations. 
  • As the work requires, this role must liaise directly with both internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to other HRSS partners, GOSS, Data Center Operations, Human Resources, Treasury, Benefits, Finance, Global Mobility, Executive Compensation, Employee Relations, Legal, and Corporate Tax. 
  • The Payroll Operations Analyst will communicate regularly with supervisors/managers and escalate compliance issues to management as needed. 
  • The position requires excellent client service skills, close attention to detail, excellent communication skills, advanced interpersonal skills and a dedication to teamwork as well as process improvement identification and implementation.

What you need to have:

  • Graduation Degree mandatory.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and mindset
  • Experience meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience problem solving and possesses the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (in English)
  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in managing end to end with high volume payroll in US Payroll
  • Competent in the use of Payroll Systems; ADP, Workday experience preferred.
  • Good practical knowledge of Payroll related compliance obligations
  • Strong leadership, people management and client management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and guide front line managers across multiple shifts.
  • Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills.
  • Effective and Accurate reporting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of quality tools like six sigma, lean and kaizen would be preferred.
