Accessory Designer

Role Description

As a Handbag Designer, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing stylish and functional handbag collections that resonate with the brand Phuljhadi. Your role will involve leveraging your creative vision, technical skills, and market insights to create innovative designs that blend fashion-forward aesthetics with practicality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Conceptualization: Develop handbag designs that reflect current fashion trends, brand identity, and customer preferences, considering factors such as silhouette, materials, hardware, and embellishments.
• Sketching and Rendering: Create detailed sketches and digital renderings of handbag designs to visualize concepts, communicate design ideas, and guide the prototyping process.
• Material Selection: Source high-quality materials such as leatherite, fabric, hardware, and trims to ensure the integrity and luxury appeal of handbag collections.
• Prototype Development: Work closely with pattern makers, sample makers, and artisans to produce prototypes of new handbag designs, refining elements such as construction, proportions, and functionality.
• Technical Specifications: Prepare technical specifications and detailed design briefs for production, including material requirements, construction methods, hardware specifications, and finishing details.
• Trend Research: Stay abreast of current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics to inform and inspire your design work, ensuring that handbag collections remain relevant and appealing to target audiences.

Education: A degree or certification in fashion design, accessory design or a related field is desirable but not essential. Prior experience or apprenticeship in handbag design can also be valuable.
